Awesome and Modest is an animation boutique in Brooklyn specializing in mixed media and hand made techniques for documentaries, music videos and commercials.

We combined ink drawings, stop motion and 3D animation for Davis Guggenheim's new documentary, Waiting For Superman, which won the audience award at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. We built miniature sets and animated cut out characters for Resolved, the HBO documentary by Greg Whitely about high school debate which won the jury prize at the LA Film Festival and went on to be nominated for 2 Emmy's. We animated fabric and personal objects for the PBS documentary Bronx Princess, we put colored pencil drawings in 3D cityscapes for an upcomming documentary about Billy joel and we drew squiggly black and white animated sex monsters for the upcoming James Houston film Let's Talk About Sex.

Whatever we can create by hand, we will, and we mostly use the computer as a tool to put it all together.
